Ecology the Next Generation- Supporting Ecologists to Make a Difference

We are asking you to make a donation to help pay the travel and subsistence expenses of student and early career ecologists with limited funds to help them attend their societies’ Annual Meetings in 2018.

Attendance at your first major scientific meeting can be a life-changing experience.

I could not have attended  my first meeting without the help of a travel  bursary  from the British Ecological Society. It enabled me to present my first paper at an international meeting as an early PhD student. It helped me make new  connections, access other funding and meet some brilliant  people. The bursary made a tremendous impact on my research and had a  transformative impact on my scientific career. ’ Dr. Priyadarshini Chakrabarti University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India .

All funds we raise as part of this campaign will be divided equally between GfÖ (the ecological society of Germany, Austria and Switzerland), NecoV  (the ecological society of Flanders and the Netherlands) and the British Ecological Society. Grants will be made in 2018 and will be open ot our many mebers living in Africa and India. .

Making  just a small donation now could make a big difference not just to an ecologist but in the long run to the future of our world.

UK tax payers will be able to claim Gift Aid on their donation which will increase the value of their donation to us by 25p in ever £.
