Welcome! I am a post-doctoral researcher and an entomologist specialized in insect physiology, insect nutrition, molecular ecology, neuroethology, impacts of
xenobiotics and insect ecotoxicology. I employ various interdisciplinary research techniques such as molecular ecology, mass spectrometry and apicultural practices to address my current research questions in the honey bee model system. I am also keen to explore the physiology and behavioral ecology of pests and other insect communities. Read more about my research here.
Along with research, I have been teaching various courses in insect physiology, behavior, ecology and honey bee biology since 2010. I also regularly mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
I conduct research at Dr. Ramesh Sagili’s Honey Bee Lab at Oregon State University, USA. I obtained my Ph.D. from the Department of Zoology, University of Calcutta, India, under the joint supervision of Prof. Parthiba Basu (Ecology Research Unit) and Prof. Sagartirtha Sarkar (Molecular Cardiology).
I look forward to bringing positivity and helping diverse communities through my work. My outreach and extension work reflect my commitment towards our various stakeholders and the scientific community.
